Instead of several different machines, Matt used a single hybrid 3D printer with interchangeable toolhead system that allowed to change fabrication technology just by changing a toolhead. Laser cutting: a smart way to facilitate precise placement of the clock numbers. Instead of cutting and placing them manually, Matt used the laser toolhead to cut the numbers from black adhesive foil. Because the material used for CNC milling was translucent, the laser went trough and as planned cut only the foil. #CNC #milling #zmorph3d #custom #clock

To assemble the clock, Matt used circa 80 different parts, and with few exceptions, like chains and screws, all of the parts were made using ZMorph 2.0 S Hybrid 3D Printer and Voxelizer Software.
