If you ever had to deal with gaps when crocheting around a foundation chain, I have a tip for you. Instead of working into the loop of the chain, as normal, turn the chain around and work into back bumps. Doing so will create a nicer bottom edge, with clear stitches that will be easier to work into once you turn your work around. And of course...
