A very lovely original circa late 1830's lady's floral printed cream silk challis one piece gown. The bodice is lined and stayed, with a fan pleated front, piping at all the seams, with fashionable slender capped sleeves, a two part back with a blind hook and eye closure, a cartridge pleated waistband, and an unlined skirt with a deep turned and faced hem. New York State museum with a 1968 museum accession numbered tag still attached.
