Among the Daffodils
"I wandered lonely as a cloud that floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, a host, of golden daffodils." -William Wordsworth . . . What a delight to discover a strand of daffodils abloom in the Lake District of England! Inspired by this classic work of romantic poetry, we offer recipes and inspiration for hosting a gathering that presents a convivial ode to spring at https://bit.ly/amongthedaffodils. | Photo: Natasja Sadi, founder of Cake Atelier Amsterdam.

Victoria's May/June issue
Delftware is deeply connected to the narrative of sugar production and flower arranging. It is no surprise then that our Artist-in-Residence Natasja Sadi, founder of Cake Atelier Amsterdam, has an addiction to blue-and-white pottery, a condition from which she hopes to never recover. See more of her striking collection in our May/June issue, available at https://bit.ly/may-june-2024.

Cultivating Daffodils for Spring
A custom that originated in seventeenth-century Holland and flourished throughout Europe until the early 1900s, the art of cultivating blossoms in bulb vases has experienced a revival in recent decades. Bulbs are chilled for two to three months, depending upon the variety, then placed atop a flask filled almost to the collar with water. Roots descend to the liquid, while the shoots stretch upward, toward the light. #daffodils #springflowers
