Taken from the original Birks Building at Georgia and Granville. The parking lot is where the old Hotel Vancouver used to be and developed into Pacific Centre in 1969-1971. Devonshire Hotel was blown up in 1980. Georgia Medical-Dental building was blown up in 1990. Trump tower is presently under construction where that white cube-shaped building is down the street. Bentall Centre at Burrard began development in '69.
Vancouver State of Mind Rain. It's all what you make of it. Without rain our streets would be dirty and dusty. Our lush rain forests would be brown and more susceptible to fires. Our water reservoirs would dry up and we would be on restrictions. I for one embrace the rain and all it's glory and benefits. We're lucky to live here on the Wet Coast.
