I've owned this jeep for 22 years and have had very few problems with it - just your usual parts wearing out - replacing batteries, lights, etc. It has never failed an emissions test and the only safety it failed was when I needed new tires. It's been so reliable and such a fun vehicle.

Love this vehicle. Straight six-caburator, so simple to work on. Unbelievably durable. I saved one in excellent body condition, but was being parted out because of a bad engine and the dealer didn't want to deal with it. This Jeep is when a Jeep was still a Jeep... not a luxury vehicle.

Question:Can fenders be painted Answer:I removed and wet sanded my fenders which were grey originally and painted black by previous owner which used wrong type of paint. After preping them I painted them with satin finish black Krylon for plastic. It has been over a year now and they still look great.

This is different, but anyway, the 1990 Wrangler YJ with the 4.2L and 5 spd Transmission has been the most funnest vehicle to drive I have ever owned. After spending a few thousand dollars over the past three years, I have a Jeep that is 100% reliable and would not hesitate to plow through any mother nature storm she could throw at me.

Question:has anyone had a problem with the check engine light that does not go away and the seat belt light staying on also? Answer:I had to replace the female seat belt receptor on the floor mine was a faulty sensor inside it that caused the light to come on. It would stay on even after I cleared the error in the computer.

If your 93 YJ is still all stock, I'd say the hydraulic clutch slave cylinder / throw out bearing might be a bit sticky. Cold weather can cause this, corrosion (if driven in salt water etc.), can cause this or it simply can be wearing out. If this item was broken, your clutch would not work at all
