Comberton Road, Barton | Development 3 houses | Cambridge | Modern House | Zinc
This development of 3No. detached houses is located on the edge of Barton and is accessed via a private drive. The development replaces a single dwelling built in the 1930's. The design comprises of simple gable ended forms which face onto the open countryside and is intended to echo an agricultural vernacular. Timber louvers have been added to the glazed gables to provide solar shading, and the units are heated via air source heat pumps. Finished in 2022.

A detail shot of the corner of a metal-framed window with Suyaki® siding clad around it. There is an expertly executed cutout in the siding to fit a custom part of the window's bottom frame, showing the level of care that the carpenter had with the install of this delicate surface.
