Medieval Basilard circa 1350-1400 Length 52.7 cm Presented in excavated condition and formed in one piece, this dagger has an unusually long blade of flattened diamond section tapering to a narrow point. It is cut with a pair of diverging fullers on both sides at the forte while the tang is hollow on one side and extending to a T-shaped openwork pommel. The quillons are missing.

the pommel cap and the guard are only slightly arched towards the blade. The blade is of flattened diamond section. The grip is made of bright burl-wood. This dagger is a very early one, dating to the second half of the 13th century or early 14th century.
