W 75. rocznicę D-Day Mennica Francuska wyemitowała monety upamiętniające to wydarzenie. Na dwóch z nich - złotych monetach o nominałach 200 euro (1 uncja) i 50 euro (1/4 uncji) widoczna jest szachownica Polskich Sił Powietrznych. Obie monety zostały wybite dla Samlerhuset Group, a wyłączność na ich sprzedaż w Polsce ma Skarbnica Narodowa.
