God Hapi (Nile) Kom Ombo "Hapi was the god of the annual flooding of the Nile in ancient Egyptian religion. PTAH-SOKARIS-OSIRIS STATUETTE: wooden, represents the mummiform god #Ptah -Sokaris-Osiris, standing on a small pedestal. The statuette + its pedestal stand on a large rectangular block of wood; all parts are painted.The statuette is hollow + intended to contain a papyrus scroll. As such it formed part of a tomb equipment. In the back pillar is a lid that is partially preserved.

The people of the Ancient Empire...The sacred butcher, Iru-ka-Ptah (Vth dynasty) whose tomb lies side by side with that of Akhithotep, was discovered in 1942 by Abdessalam Hussein. The deceased had himself portrayed all of ten times.
