This is Calderon de la Barca, one of the most legendary units in Iberia´s fleet. She was in service from 1972 to 2003; 31 years flying to complete 100,000 hours in the air, and close to 18,000 flights. She crossed the Atlantic quite some times.... The Iberia´s 747-200 fleet, named after Spanish writers of the XVII century is IMO the most legendary aircraft in modern Iberia´s history.

Airbus rolled out first A340 on this day 25 years ago. This long-range, four-engine, wide-body commercial passenger jet has a range of between 6,700 to 9000 nautical miles, depending on the type. Its distinguishing features are four high-bypass turbofan engines and three-bogie main landing gears. So far more than 370 aircraft been built and entered service.
