173K views · 42K reactions | 🧼 I had so many people ask about liquid Castile soap instead of bar so here we are! 🧼 Even though liquid Castile soap costs more it’s still only averaging $5.50 for a gallon of laundry detergent, and the ingredients you bought will make several more gallons. 💰 The more non toxic detergent on the shelves at the store are much much higher in cost and you’re still not sure what’s in them. Not to mention all the plastics that are wasted with those jugs. 🧼 People also asked about one that is more concentrated. This is it and only calls for 1/4 C a load. You will get about 64 loads of laundry out of the gallon. 🪣 Or you can use this recipe and still make the 5 gallon bucket if you have a large family and get roughly 256 loads. I wanted to show a smaller amount for those who may not be able to handle a 5 gallon bucket bc it is very heavy or may not need that quantity. I have 3 very active teenage boys and a hard working husband and this combination of ingredients has worked great on our clothes. I do like adding white vinegar to my rinse cycle bc I feel like it makes clothes and especially towels more fluffy. Some had mentioned this is good for people with hard water or that are worried about residue as well 🤷‍♀️ so win win! I hope some of you find this helpful! 🧼 1 Gallon Ingredients - 1 Cup borax - 1 Cup Washing soda - 1 Cup Liquid Castile soap - 13 Cups water (6 boiling, 7 regular) Combine Borax, washing soda and Castile soap and 6 cups boiling water and mix well. Add another 7 cups of water and stir making sure everything is dissolved. Cover and let sit overnight, 24 hours is best. It will gel and turn white in color. 🧼 5 Gallon Ingredients - 4 Cups Borax - 4 Cups Washing soda - 4 Cups Liquid Castile soap - 52 Cups water (24 boiling and 28 regular) Combine Borax, Washing soda, Castile soap, and 24 cups of boiling water into a 5 gallon bucket and mix well. Add 28 cups more water, does not have to be boiling or even hot. Stir until everything is dissolved. Cover and let rest for 24 hours is the best. It will turn white and gel. #laundry #homemade #easy #budget #detergent #castile #family #save | Kristin Renee | Trinix · Hits 2021 (Mashup)
