The Baptism of Jesus is the feast day commemorating the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. This event marks the beginning of Christ’s public ministry and is recorded in the gospels. This is the Epiphany (revelation) of the Holy Trinity, otherwise known as Theophany, which means a “revelation of God” in Greek. The feast day is January 6.
