From the very moment I approached the gates the modern feel of this family garden was apparent.  The stone pillars and timber gates with the bamboo hedges and little stone lanterns are simple and very loved.

All clippings and prunings are dug into the trench between the rows and when the time comes to replant, the rich compost from the trench is dug back into the garden bed, ready to go with the new crop.  No delay.  I not only loved the veggies and flowers. But I love the scarecrows too.

And a small protected central courtyard provides a reading nook.  The very contemporary modular daybeds make for a casual and enticing place to hide from the cares of the day. This is a more grown up space.

How beautiful is this woodland with its Tropical Birches under planted with swathes of purple spikes, pink and white Aquiliga and Foxgloves.  Familiar Agapanthus and yellow and burnt orange Daylilies are found here too, to give the planting some zing.
