She was a symbol of Reform Judaism in Poland and one of the greatest Polish buildings, built in the nineteenth century. Opened on September 26, 1878 year, Rosh Hashanah, or Jewish New Year. Was personally blown up by Jürgen Stroop on May 16, 1943, which was the last act of destruction by the Germans the Jewish Ghetto in the Warsaw .
