The Great Synagogue in Warsaw - now non-existent, the largest synagogue in Warsaw located in the square Tłomackie 7. She was a symbol of Reform Judaism in Poland and one of the greatest Polish buildings, built in the nineteenth century. Opened on September 26, 1878 year, Rosh Hashanah, or Jewish New Year. Abraham Morewski Menakier (b. March 18, 1886 in Vilno, d. October 3, 1964 in Warsaw) - Polish actor, director, writer, translator and activist Jewish culture. In the interwar period played in theaters in Warsaw. In 1937 he starred in the filming of The Dybbuk collecting favorable reviews. After the war, he performed the State Jewish Theater.
