We stain and seal both sides of your wood door however pattern/design and hand forged iron clavos are only on one side. 72\" and taller will have 3 inner battens while shutters short than that only have 2. PLEASE NOTE: Wood fill for holes on back will be slightly noticeable as the fill doesn't stain exactly like real wood. ~ Sliding Shutter Finish ~ Interior shutters are wax sealed for a natural look and they feel just as pretty. Installation holes are not pre drilled, this is something I normally advise doing when barn door hardware is installed.
