"Finnetunet" in Grue, Hedmark - Norway. Many of the Finnish people came and settled here in 1500-1600s. Finnskogene (Finnforests) is a large contiguous forest area stretching along both sides of the border between Solør, Hedmark - Norway and Värmland in Sweden, municipalities here was Eidskog, Kongsvinger, Brandval, Grue, Hof, Åsnes and Våler. Most of these finns came from Savolax (Karelen), Finland. Some settled also in counties Akershus, Oppland, Buskerud and Oslo.
