Art work by Cindy Watkins I love that my textile artworks are not only a piece of art work to be hung on a wall but that they are a tactile item that can be touch and experienced on different levels. I can never live long enough to create all the ideas I have in my head. The natural world is my inspiration and features heavily in my work. I especially love animals. I also find inspiration in the fabric itself. There is a world of textile art and art techniques out there and I feel that I am on a life long journey of learning. I enjoy experimenting and trying new things and I feel this is part of the process of developing your own style. I use photographs taken by myself or friends as reference material
