This Transition Words and Phrases Escape Room is great for beginning of the year review and pre-assessment. It is also great for the end of the year review before and after state tests. Students will need to access a Google Form, so ANY technology that allows them to access and complete a Google Form will work! The Google Form is pre-coded and automates the entire breakout experience! There are 4 stations they must complete to escape. Station 1 Students will have to fill in the blank with the correct transition word or phrase. Station 2 Students will have to identify transition words in a paragraph. Station 3 Students will have to put transition words into the following categories: time/sequence, to contrast, to conclude, illustrate/example, and add information. Station 4 Students will have to unscramble a paragraph using the transition words to help them.
