Mummy case, c. 800 BCE (Dynasty 22). The name "Ankh-Tesh" is written at the bottom of the column of hieroglyphs.  Ankh-Tesh is shown with the gold skin of the deified dead. Water lilies, symbolizing the daily rebirth of the sun, crown her heavy wig. A collar of flowers covers her shoulders, and a black metal scarab hangs from a ribbon. Her crossed hands grip protective amulets. The painted scenes represent gods and events as Ankh-Tesh enters the next life.
