Wiesław Chrzanowski "Wiesław" was a commander of the 2nd platoon of "Anna" company from "Gustaw" battalion during the Warsaw Uprising in August to October 1944.
Warsaw Uprising, 1944 - The Prudential building was Warsaw’s tallest skyscraper and was hit by approximately 1000 artillery shells during the uprising. On August 28, camera man Sylwester Braun captured the moment of impact of a mortar shell.
