This exquisite, large, finely hand-painted, antique BLUE & WHITE plate was purchased at an antique store in Tokyo during the time I lived in Japan – 45 years ago. It is a 14-inch, eight-sided octagonal plate, with detailed hand-paintings of palm trees, flowers, scrollwork, and other various geometric forms – some representing flowers. It is from the Meiji Period (October 23, 1868 – July 30, 1912). For many years, I have enjoyed displaying this exquisite plate (charger) in a glass-front br 📌
