A traditional dessert from Lebanon! A specialty that has clotted cream (ashta) incased in a semolina-butter cake, flavored with orange blossom water. I love oriental sweets, in particular, maamoul mad bil ashta. As you know I do not reside in Lebanon, so I miss so many foods from home. In Lebanon, people do not typically prepare these bars. Almost all local sweet shops sell these treats. One of the things that I have stuck to making during Ramadan are these heavenly sweets.
