PK24 Chaise Lounge - White Leather
With its easy curves and organic shape, the PK24 is perhaps the most recognizable chair in Poul Kjærholm’s oeuvre. The 1965 design, inspired by an 18th-century chaise longue, is a prime and almost extreme example of Kjærholm’s principle of designing with independent elements. The chair has no physical connection between the main parts: they are kept together by gravity and friction. The designer referred to it as the “Hammock Chair” to emphasize its suspension of the body between two points.
