This book cover shows excellent figure ground/negative space. The contours formed by the position of the fox serve as the shape of a boy, I'm assuming "Peter." This empty space also creates a wonderful focal point for the book title to nestle into.
WHITE SPACE: I love the simple style of this poster and how an image is made just using the hand and the screw. I think that it works well with the space and there is a focus point in the middle of the design.
The poster comments on the subject (racism) in a non-direct way, trying to invoke the reader visually into the inevitable conclusion. It has multiple reads, that provoke critical thinking and raise awareness on the subject and its results globally.
THE ATLAS OF BEAUTY is a project of the fashion photographer Mihaela Noroc, who travel across the world in a road trip for the last 16 months in order to create beautiful portraits of women, capturing hundreds of images from Colombia to China.
