Memoirs of a Geisha: This is a sad sad story that, although it's made out to be some-one's experience of times gone by, it still reflects the values of the Asian countries in the part of the world the movie was made. A worthwhile movie to watch, yet very haunting, due to the effect patriarchal society has on women, especially in Asia. #MemoirsofaGeisha #AsianWomen #AsianFilms

Too many characters clumsily threaded together. Attempts at cramming every possible expectant parenting issue -- infertility, IVF, adoption, miscarriage, multiple births, c-section, epidural vs. natural birth, etc. -- makes this an interminable nearly 2-hour (!) movie. Grade: D
