Krystyna Wańkowicz ("Anna”). Soldier of Warsaw uprising 1944. History student, daughter of writer Melchior Wańkowicz. She died in fights at 6th day of Uprising.

Wounded Polish boy and nurse (or mother?) at makeshift hospital during the the Warsaw Uprising. Children as young as 12 joined the uprising fighters as runners and ammunition bearers. They suffered as many, and perhaps proportionally even more, casualties as their older comrades.
