Girl's Chinese Silk 1770's | English & European Dress | Meg Andrews - Antique Dress and Textiles
Girl's yellow Chinese silk damask jacket, probably English, c. 1770's. Very rare to find a garment made from Chinese silk which would have been imported by The British East India Company. The young lady who owned this must have been very wealthy to be wearing this expensive silk made for the export market.
