Who knew mushrooms make such lovely colors? Riihivilla, Dyeing with mushrooms
Natural dyes forever and ever, please. Another stack of fabric samples from my recent experiments with acorn dyes. Fabrics on the left are wool, linen, silk, and cotton with no mordants at all. Fabrics on the right with homemade iron modifier after dyeing. And two adorable acorns collected from the forest floor a few weeks ago on a family hike. Mighty little dyes. These amber browns and steely grays are making me swoon for this winter landscape. All the neutrals all around.
