Rapier | 16th, Spain, overall length 120cm  The sword has a straight, double-edged blade of lenticular section, grooved at the forte, with the inscription “CLEMENS HORNN”. It has a richly chiselled iron hilt featuring remains of silver and gold plating. At the front there’s a large heart-shaped valve, pierced with floral motifs, while at the centre there’s a relieved mask; at the back lies a knuckle-guard decorated en suite. The quillons and guard end with the heads of dragons.
