The Human Motif by Polish artist Zofia Kulik was published to coincide with a Zone exhibition of her work in the UK. The works were painstakingly composed of hand assembled negatives configured into, often very large, stunning montage works.
Zbigniew Andrzej Dłubak (1921–2005) was a Polish painter, photographer, and art theoretician. Dłubak was born on April 26, 1921 in Radomsko. During World War II, following the AB Action aimed at the Polish intelligentsia and Scouting movement, he was arrested and sent to the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp, but managed to survive.
