Arthur Melville (1855-1904) was the most radical and exciting Scottish artist of his generation and one of the finest British watercolour painters of the 19th century. An exhibition featuring his work is running at the Scottish National Gallery until 17th January 2016. We highly recommend having a look if you're in Edinburgh any time before then.
