Leeds Castle, Kent. Built in 1119, a royal palace for Edward I & Eleanor of Castile in 1278. Later transformed by Henry VIII for Catherine of Aragon. A tour includes visits to the old keep, the Gloriette, the unique dog collar museum and outside, features the Culpepper Gardens, several aviaries of native & exotic birds, a duckery with rare black swans, woodland gardens, a grotto, & yew-tree maze. There is even a 9-hole public golf course.
