Polish, French, British, and US intelligence servicemen celebrated in Warsaw the 75th anniversary of the hand over to the Allies by the Polish intelligence service of a code that broke Enigma, the German encoding machine. The commemoration ceremony was also attended by Home Army veterans and the relatives of persons who helped decode Enigma.

Pope John Paul II, born Karol Wojtyła, will be officially declared a saint in the Vatican on 27 April. He will be among the best known saints from Poland, among them St. Adalbert of Prague, St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, St. Faustina Kowalska and St. Andrew Bobola.

On Nov. 14th, 2013 an exhibition was inaugurated at the CWM commemorating life and legacy of Jan Karski, Polish underground courier, who wanted to make a difference in times of horror, who risked his life trying to stop the Holocaust. The exhibition will last until 29th November.
