Casa Alta by AS/D Asociación de Diseño - The façade evolves from the idea of digital pointillism where the image of a tree is digitalized with the same technique of the impressionist paintings. This is achieved with 232 Trespa panels from which 40% are perforated using CNC technology for the fabrication and precision and placed on an aluminum sub-structure.(468×374)

Fernando Velasco and Paola Morales of AS& Asociación de Diseño designed the Casa Alta with x modules stacked upon one another to make up the three levels of the structure.

this is just a lovely idea..a photograph of sunlight through the trees was enlarged to total pixelation and that pattern was used to creat the screen on the porch of this building..

Cook+Fox Architects inserted a custom-made perforated screen system onto the western and northern sides of the building to filter light into a dappled pattern reminiscent of the sun’s rays through a tree canopy.
