Indonesian entrepreneur who made batik chic

Indonesian batik cloth: what was once the "compulsory outfit of politicians' wives at state functions" has now become a mainstream fashion item. Popularized by Jakarta's Bin House, batik is a method of applying a design to fabric by using hot wax. After the fabric is dyed, it is then boiled to remove the wax and reveal an intricate pattern. Josephine Komara, or Obin, of Bin House explains the intensiveness of the cloth's creation process in an interview with BBC.
