GERMAN ROCOCO; Germany- Interiors decoration of Schloss Brühl, North Rhine- Westphalia, Germany, 1728, by François de Cuvilliés (1695, Hainaut — 1768, Munich). The palaces were built at the beginning of the 18th century by Johann Conrad Schlaun. The main block Augustusburg Palace is a U-shaped building with three main storeys and two levels of attics. The magnificent staircase was designed by Johann Balthasar Neumann. The French Rococo interiors decoration, made by Cuvilliés.
