The China Gate is the biggest, baddest, seahorsest-cum-dragon in neon selling Chinese-American food(s) sign this side of anywhere. And that's hard to do. And it's going in the dumpster AS I TYPE THIS. In short: The China Gate is no more, and the building is being converted to a bar. The City of CDA apparently has issues with the sign and is pressing the new owners to dumpster it ASAP despite the new owners' efforts to find the sign a new home. Local efforts continue.
