I took a pile of old pallets and some scrap plywood and turned it into an indoor recycling separator! Total cost to me, $4.50 for the lid hinges plus the cost of the nails and screws which I already had lying around. It took awhile for assembly and sanding but it looks great after it is all done. I used a wood burner to label the holes in the lid for the final touch.

The Greene Ave. bench collection is a project that rescues orphan chairs and upcycles them into a one-of-a-kind bench for your entrance way, dining table or backyard patio. Each bench uses three contrasting chairs from different eras to form a new contemporary piece. Love this!!

DIY inspiration: 3 old chairs --> bench. This would look much better if the 3 chairs matched.good use for a set missing one chair, or where a couple chairs have broken pieces and can cobbled together to make one.
