6 amazing vegan breakfast spots in Ubud, Bali - Justyna Manjari

A fruit detox can wait, those dreamy crepes from The Spell Creperie cannot. They must have added cocaine to my first crepe because I kept crawling back there, drooling and begging for more. You know that sad little girl waiting at their entrance every day at 8:50 AM and annoying staff with “Are you open yet”? That was me 😀 I mean seriously would you look at those crepes? That’s literally breakfast of my dreams.

A vegan eating guide to Canggu, Bali

After spending nearly a month in Ubud, Canggu definitely felt different. I guess I was expecting another Ubud, but the structure of the town was completely different. You won’t be able to walk anywhere, as you can in Ubud. You will definitely need a scooter in Canggu or at least a bike (although can I just say that I haven’t seen a single cyclist during my one-month stay in Bali). Or those distances will kill you. #veganbali #vegantravel

Highlights Of Ubud - Vegan travel

Ubud was the highlight of my Bali experience for so many reasons. This place has incredible energy, and it has so much to offer to us, quirky vegan people. So if you come to Bali, make sure you’ll have enough time to explore Ubud properly. Whether you come just for a two-week relaxing holiday or an indefinite time to “find yourself.”

These are some of my favourite places and moments I experienced in Ubud. It’s mostly touristy stuff, so you’ll find it helpful if you need to plan a super intense five-day stay or something like that. Next time I’ll try to cover more of those other types of experiences (you know like a tantric sex class and things. Hahaha. I’m sure everyone would be all ears for that one).

Highlights Of Ubud - Vegan travel

I stayed in Ubud for a month, and every day I would discover new amazing places and had great experiences. I feel like one month wasn’t enough, and I am already planning to come back for longer this time. You know, so I can fully take advantage of all those cacao ceremonies, cuddle parties, and shamanic breathwork workshops. I feel like staying in Ubud for a longer time may encourage a total transformation.

Seriously I travelled to Bali intending to do a cleanse and maybe enjoy durian a little bit. Little did I know I would end up being a kid in a candy store. I couldn’t stop eating. But how can you when you end up in a vegan paradise? So instead of doing a watermelon fast as planned, I decided to enjoy my life to the fullest. I went completely crazy, and I would eat out up to 3 times a day for 30 days.

Ubud: vegan eating guide

The minute I arrived there, I completely lost it. I saw all those vegan cafes and crystal shops, and everything was just too good to be true. Everyone was carrying either a yoga mat or a huge durian or both. Suddenly I was surrounded by people who were exactly like…me. For the first time, I ended up in a place where I didn’t feel like a weird alien. I felt like…I came home. I made a promise to myself: I’ll be back here one day. For good.

Ubud is vegan paradise!

I found a vegan paradise on Earth! When I was preparing for my Bali adventure, I naturally already knew I should expect plant-based heaven. The whole Internet seemed to claim that Ubud was the ultimate paradise. Ok, cool, so they’ll have vegan options, I thought. I was still travelling there intending to do a long fruit cleanse (As an ex raw vegan, I always try to eat mostly fruit when I’m in tropics. Only Durianrider generation will understand ;))
