Nodachi (野太刀, field sword) is a large two-handed traditionally made Japanese sword (nihonto) used by the samurai class of feudal Japan. Nodachi is the same type of sword as ōdachi (large/great sword).

Odachi/otachi or nodachi. Mei (name): Tomomitsu. Location: Futarasan Jinja, Tochigi. Period: Nambokuchô (1336 - 1392). This Ôdachi has a nagasa (cutting edge) of 126.0 cm and sori (curvature) of 5.8 cm. The width of the blade at the base is 4.4 cm and the width near the tip is 3.0 cm. The kissaki is 6.7 cm long. It is displayed with Nodachi mounts that are 178 cm long.

Kashiwa Tachi aka Yamagane Tsukuri Kokushitsu Hirumaki Ôdachi, no signature, Nambokuchô era (1336 - 1392), total length in fittings is 194.5 cm, nagasa (cutting edge) of 136.6 cm and sori (curvature) of 4.6 cm, width is 3.8 cm, thickness is 1.0 cm at the base of the blade, tang length is 54.4. The saya (scabbard) is coated in black lacquer and has two hanger mounts. The tsuka (hilt) and saya are wrapped with thin leather in opposite directions.
