We love how this piece adds a sense of history to a decorative display. The design is based on an antique platter from the 18th century printed using a technique called transferware to depict the detailed images.

From the Davenport pottery, Longport, Staffordshire, England, an oversize earthenware, underglaze tissue printed platter, in the “Vase with Medallions of Flowers” pattern. An impressed mark on the verso used circa 1815-1860. A complex blue on white pattern, showing a central image of a bulbous vase on a table, filled with a bouquet of flowers, buds, and sprays.
