* Angus McBean 1961 Angus McBean (1904-1990), Photographer Began his career in the theatre as mask-maker and scenery designer before turning to full-time theatre photography. McBean is renowned for his theatrical and inventive photography of the 1930s and 1940s. Imitated throughout his career, his influence especially in advertising is still prominent today. In 1935 he opened his own studio; and his prominent style was soon being published in glossy magazines.
Boris Zvorykin was the famous painter of The Romanovs family. He illustrated fairy tales and his works aggregated the ancient Russian folk style. He had to leave Russia for France in 1920s. There he translated Russian fairy tales at his own and illustrated them. His works were published only after 1942 when the painter died in WWII.

The National Library of Russia in St Petersburg was founded in 1795 by the order of Catherine II The Great. This is not only the oldest public library in the nation, but also the first national library in the country and one of the world’s major libraries. It has the second richest library collection in the Russian Federation, a treasury of national heritage, and is the All-Russian Information and Research. It should not be confused with the Russian State Library, located in Moscow.
