he Willard library was built in 1885 which makes it more than 110 years old. The Library is the oldest public library building in the state of Indiana and is housed in a Victorian Gothic building in Evansville, which is near the downtown area of this southwestern Indiana city of 130,000 people. The building still functions to this day as a library.

A photograph of old Central High School, established in 1854 as Evansville High School and renamed in 1918. The last class graduated in 1970 and a new Central High School was built at 5400 First Avenue.
