Doilie Angel Ornaments | Here is a quick, simple way to create 2 different little angels. They are going to look amazing on your tree or add a beautiful touch to your wrapped... | By D & L Create | Hi everyone, it's Lynn. So for today's project, I am going to show you two different ornaments. And we are going to start off by using these crochet doilies. And we picked this up at a yard sale and it was in pretty bad shape. So we thought it'd be perfect to craft with. So what I did was I cut four of the bigger circles out of it. And I'm going to show you how I made a couple of different angel ornaments from the doilies. So what you're going to do is with the first doily just scrunch it straight up the center. And just hold it there gathered and you're going to secure it with either a pipe cleaner or a piece of jute. I like to use the cable ties because you can still manipulate it before you tighten it all the way and make sure it's centered and these are going to be the wings. And then we're going to make the body. So you're going to take your next doily and you're going to fold the two sides in but just enough to make a point at the top and keep an opening at the bottom. And then you're going to it right to the wings. And you can already see how cute this is going to be. So what I did next was I took a wood bead. Um a large wood bead and I used that for her head and I just glued it right to the top of the wings. And then I flipped her over and I added a twine hanger on the back. And I used some Spanish moss to give her a little bit of curly hair. So you just put a little glue on the top of the bead and add just as much Spanish moss as you want. And then I made a halo using a piece of wired twine and just formed it into a circle and then glued it right on the back of her head. And then I gave her a little twine bow and I added a little piece of bling to it. And I made this one a little bit rustic and she's stinking adorable. And if you don't have crochet doilies you can use the paper ones from Dollar Tree or any kind of material. Just cut it into a circle and scallop the edges. So for the next one you're going to just take your first doily and fold it in half and then make the body the same way you did on first one and you're going to glue it right on to the folded doily but leave the point a little bit above the fold and then flip it over and glue the flap down and then glue the point down to the back and that just gives you a little bit more area to glue the head on to and this time I'm going to use an ornament a very glitzy red sparkly ornament and then I just put the halo and the hanger on the same way I just used a pipe cleaner for the halo instead of twine and I gave her a very silvery glitzy bow. And they both just came out so cute. And now you have a quick easy way to make two different styled angels but they are equally adorable. So I really hope that you like this project and I hope you give this one a try. So don't forget to bounce our page around. Thanks for watching everyone. Have a great day and we will see you next time. Bye bye.
