Also included is a PowerPoint file on the Benchmark Assessment System (BAS) that provides practical information on conducting Running Records. This will be useful during the even-numbered lessons when a Reading Record needs to be done.
Inventor anchor chart. Would be a great small group activity. Assign one inventor to each group. Have them list the name of the inventor, date of the invention, 3 facts about the inventor, and how the invention helps us. Could also include a journal entry by having students in each group write about what it would be like if we didn't have the invention today.
