Toad Road (2013)
Toad Road (2013) A different kind of American independent horror film, the hypnotic Toad Road, presented by Elijah Wood and his SpectreVision production company, unfolds like a hallucinatory cross between the sexual candor of Larry Clark and Harmony Korine, and the backwoods creep-out of The Blair Witch Project.
You've Got Mail (1998) In this valentine to modern romance, book superstore magnate Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) and independent book shop owner Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) fall in love in the anonymity of the Internet -- both blissfully unaware that he's trying to put her out of business. Director Nora Ephron's Golden Globe-nominated romantic comedy puts romance on the ropes -- and forces two people to make tough decisions about life, love and livelihood.
This film was billed as a romantic comedy and even has Drew Barrymore staring in in it, what could possibly go wrong? Well, this entire movie felt like a poker tutorial. Eric Bana playing “Huck” was dreadful. I lost count how many times he was explaining the ins and outs of playing poker… to the camera!
