Yarn portrait

I've tried to click self portrait using a woolen yarn.

Use Photoshop to convert a photo to grayscale, then click Filter, Artistic, Cutout and play with the settings until the photo looks the way you want. Then, print the photo, buy 3 or 4 different colors of yarn (white, black, light gray and dark gray) and glue the yarn onto the paper. Easy!! You'll need some small, sharp scissors and I used popsicle sticks to push the yarn precisely into place to save my fingers from getting too sticky.

Yoon Ji Seon's embroidered portraits blend fiber and photography. Much of work consists of self-portraits, with varying degrees of emotions, abstraction, and detail. Her "Rag Face" series goes back to 2006, when she started experimenting with these mixed-media pieces.
