A few stitches into the letter outlines and I didn’t love how the right-leaning curves looked broken and jagged. It’s the nature of needlepoint since the stitches are on a diagonal, but there are some tricks if you want a more uniform look. And padding your stitches is one of them. To pad a series of stitches run a long thread the length of the section and then tent stitch over it. The effect is a very slightly raised, uniform series of stitches. Although you can see the raised quality of that section close up, it doesn’t bother me as much as the jagged stitches did! And when this becomes a pillow they’ll all just blend in.
