Do you wish your students were better listeners? Teach them how to SLANT! I discovered SLANT while reading the book Teach Like a Champion. After implementing this acronym, I immediately saw an increase in student engagement and learning. It transformed the abstract idea of "listening" to something concrete that the students could demonstrate.
Slant poster by Iris Hinojosa -- this is based on the wonderful book "Teach Like a Champion" by Doug Lemov. Got to make another one for my classroom.
